During the meeting the state and prospects of the Ukrainian-Japanese trade and economic cooperation received high appraisal. The sides discussed preparation of the Fifth meeting of the Coordination council on economic cooperation with Ukraine and Keidanren Committee on Ukraine in 2013.

The sides gave positive assessment to the prospects of investment cooperation between Ukraine and Japan. Signing of a Bilateral Investment Treaty between the two countries, which draft is now under consideration, should give an important impetus to such cooperation.
