Ambassador Ihor Kharchenko met with Mr. Yuhei Sato, Governor of Fukushima Prefecture affected from "Fukushima-Daiichi" nuclear accident

In the frame of the visit of the Ukrainian delegation headed by Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine Oleg Proskuriakov to areas of Fukushima prefecture damaged of the huge Great East Japan Earthquake, tsunami and the accident at the nuclear power plant "Fukushima-Daiichi" and meeting with Mr. Yuhei Sato, Governor of Fukushima Prefecture, Ambassador of Ukraine Ihor Kharchenko has handed over to Governor an album with the best pictures of Child's Contest "Korosten - Fukushima - Solidarity - The Future", which was jointly conducted by the Executive Committee of the Korosten City Council and the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan aimed at training and developing the conscientious attitude of children's generation to the problems of the nuclear disasters and to support the morale and spirit of the residents of Fukushima prefecture.

On behalf of Korosten Mayor V.V.Moskalenko the Ambassador has also conveyed the invitation to the Governor to visit the largest city of Ukraine affected by the Chernobyl disaster in 1986.
