TV-interview was held in the frame of documentary film making dedicated the second anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake and Fukushima-daiichi accident //
During the interview the Ambassador answered numerous questions and talked about intense work of the Embassy during the extreme conditions amid potential hazard of emergency situation in Japan providing the necessary advice to the citizens of Ukraine and ensuring their evacuation from the disaster area to the motherland, as well as offering humanitarian aid, technical and expert assistance of Ukrainian Government to Japan to overcome the consequences of the devastating natural disaster and nuclear accident.
He also emphasized on the cooperation that was created between the countries affected by the world's biggest accident at nuclear power plants: in Chernobyl and Fukushima. He reminded the milestone events which facilitated the creation of a legal basis for further cooperation to consolidate the scientific and expert resources, knowledge and experience of both countries in the overcoming and mitigation of the nuclear disaster.
