On June 26, 2012, «The Ukrainian Music Night» - a festive event on the occasion of the 16-th Anniversary of the Constitution of Ukraine was held at the Residence of the Ambassador of Ukraine to Japan.

The event was attended by representatives of the Parliament of Japan, government bodies, the diplomatic corps accredited to Japan, prominent political and public figures, as well as representatives of the Ukrainian community abroad.

At the beginning of the festive evening Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Japan Mr. M. Kulinich addressed the guests. In his speech the Ambassador wished all those present happy Anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of Ukraine and thanked for continuously supporting democratic transformations in the Ukrainian society. The Ambassador told the uests about the latest achievements of our young State and briefly outlined the main objectives and priorities of its foreign policy.

Then, those present watched a concert of famous Ukrainian singer and bandura player Oksana Stepanyuk, who performed well-known world and Ukrainian classical pieces, as well as Ukrainian folk songs to the accompaniment of bandura.

The abovementioned event had a great success and was highly praised by the invited guests.
