Ambassador of Ukraine to Japan Mykola Kulinich is visiting Hiroshima for participating in memorial events to commemorate the victims of atomic bombing.
On the 5th of August Ambassador Mykola Kulinich together with representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited to Japan, laid flowers at the monument to the victims of the atomic bombing, attended the meeting with «hibakusya» – witness of the atomic bombing in 1945 and visited a number of protocol events, organized by the municipality of the city.
The Ambassador also met with the leadership of Hiroshima City Administration and Administration of Hiroshima prefecture as well as gave interview to the leading Japanese newspaper «Mainichi Shimbun».
On the 6th of August Ambassador will take part in the main event - memorial ceremony to commemorate victims of the atomic bombing, which will be attended by the Prime Minister of Japan Naoto Kan, the members of government, politicians, representatives of diplomatic corps and public.
