On October 4, 2013 Agreement on Academic Exchange and Memorandum of Understanding between National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” and Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology were signed in Tokyo.

Rector of National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” Dr. Mykhailo Zgurovsky, visiting Japan to attend the Science and Technology in Society 10th Annual Forum, October 6-8, 2013 in Kyoto, has signed with President of Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT) Dr. Tadashi Matsunaga the Agreement on Academic Exchange and the Memorandum of Understanding between Universities that foresee:
- promotion of joint research activities;
- invitation on short-term visits of faculty members for lectures, conferences, colloquia, and symposia or other academic activities;
- exchange of information and pertinent publications in fields of interest to both universities;
- exchange of faculty members and students for study and research.
During the visit, Dr. M.Zgurovsky observed a research laboratory of the TUAT, met with representatives of Horouchi Electronics Company, which has close relations with TUAT on the theme: “Government – Science – Industry” and visited a Laser show-room of the company.
