Ambassador of Ukraine to Japan Mr. Ihor Kharchenko met with Mr. Takumi Nemoto, Minister for Reconstruction, Minister in charge of Comprehensive Policy Coordination for Revival from the Nuclear Accident at Fukushima, Head of Reconstruction Agency.

The main purpose of the meeting – a discussion of the draft Agenda of the upcoming visit to Ukraine of the experts` delegation of Japan headed by the Minister to examine the lessons and experience gained by Ukrainian central authorities, experts and scientists on the mitigation of the Chernobyl accident consciences.
The two counterparts noted a special character of the visit in the frame of intensification of the experts` dialogue and further promotion of the cooperation "Fukushima-Chernobyl”.
The Minister stressed that he will pay a particular attention to the further visit to learn the significant Ukrainian knowledge and experience in overcoming the consequences of man-made nuclear disaster and implement it in Fukushima.
