On March 2nd, the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan participated in the Tokyo Tower Arts Festival, an international arts and culture festival held at the Tokyo Tower in Tokyo.

At this event our country was presented with a mini-exhibition of Ukrainian traditional crafts, presentation about Ukraine, concert performance and a master class for making motanka dolls.

A special feature of this festival is that the concert program includes not only performances on traditional instruments by performers from each country, but also joint performances by such performers with Japanese musicians. With the assistance of the Embassy Ukrainian opera singer O. Stepaniuk participated in the concert where she performed a number of traditional Ukrainian bandura compositions as well as two Japanese songs "Haru no umi" and "Sakura, sakura" with the accompaniment of the Japanese traditional instrument "koto" and flute.
