On January 24, 2012 Economic section of the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan took part in the presentation of the Ukrainian vines in the biggest city of the Tohoku region of Japan Sendai, where the first ever in Japan a Ukrainian vines’ store has been opened.
High-quality vintage wines ofUkrainefrom such producers as Massandra, Novyi Svet were presented at the opening ceremony, which carry on the traditions of one of the oldest wine-making region of the world -Crimea.
The Japanese, who are well-known aficionados of fine wines and cuisine, gave high appraisal to the distinguished taste and bouquet of the Ukrainian dry and dessert wines.
In view of the great Japanese market potential and high gastronomical demands of the Japanese consumers, the Ukrainian wines and cuisine will certainly find a wide audience of its fans.
