On 21-th of October, 2010 Ambassador of Ukraine to Japan Mykola Kulinich met with the Special Representative in charge of GUAM of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan Mr. Masaru Watanabe.

During the meeting, the Japanese side was informed about the basic plans and tasks of GUAM’s activities in the framework of chair of Ukraine. In this context it was stressed on restoring and further intensification of economic cooperation as the most priority direction of GUAM.

The Sides also exchanged views on current state and prospective of “GUAM-Japan” cooperation. In particular, it was confirmed the mutual interest to further deepening of cooperation in this format, including the initiating and holding of workshops on topics interested to the GUAM countries.
