On September, 30 during the meeting with the Japan-Ukraine friendship group on Wednesday, Groysman highly appreciated the level of bilateral political dialogue having noted that the visit of the group "inspires further mutually beneficial cooperation". He thanked the Government of Japan for its support in the implementation of different economic projects in Ukraine.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada also thanked head of the Japanese delegation, a member of the House of Representatives, head of the Japan-Ukraine friendship group Eisuke Mori for personal contribution to the development of bilateral interparliamentary relations and assured of his commitment to further intensify and deepen such relations.
"Ukraine is suffering hard times - external aggression, occupation of a part of its territory. We also want to become a democratic European state and are holding deep internal reforms", - Groysman said.
Groysman also said the sanctions against the Russian Federation are "the attempt to make Russia return to a civilized way and deny any aggression".
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada also said the Verkhovna Rada had showed ability to support all required reforms at the legislative levels.
In his turn Eisuke Mori said there was much in common between Ukraine and Japan, in particular, in the issues of energy and energy security. In response, Groysman pointed out the importance of cooperation in nuclear security and said Ukraine is open for further cooperation with Japan.
The head of the Japanese delegation said the Government and the Parliament of Japan were united in supporting Ukraine. He also expressed hope that Ukraine would succeed on the way of internal reforms.
Eisuke Mori also noted that Japan expects a visit of the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada. Groysman said that such a visit is planned for the next year.
