The Flash mob dedicated to the 200-th Anniversary of Taras Shevchenko, Ukraine’s cultural godfather, fearless poet, who became the voice of a people, was held on March 9, 2014 at Meiji Park in Tokyo.

The event was organized by the Ukrainians who temporary live in Japan. It was attended by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Japan Mr. I. Kharchenko, Embassy’s staff and representatives of the local community who admire of the great Ukrainian Poet.
Public reading of the most famous Shevchenko’s poetry, that remains to be actual nowadays, was held as the part of this flash mob.
