On the 5th of August Ambassador Ihor Kharchenko together with representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited to Japan, laid flowers at the monument to the victims of the atomic bombing, attended the 8th General Conference of Mayors for Peace and visited some protocol events, organized by the municipality of the Hiroshima city. //

On the 6^th of August the Ambassador took part in the main event – the 68^th Peace Memorial Ceremony to commemorate victims of the atomic bombing, which were attended by the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe, the members of government, politicians, representatives of diplomatic corps and public.
