Ambassador of Ukraine to Japan Dr. Ihor Kharchenko participated in the 69th Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony

Ambassador of Ukraine to Japan Dr. Ihor Kharchenko attended the 69th Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony, which took place in Hiroshima on August 6, 2014.

 

Among participated guests who have come to commemorate the victims of the Hiroshima’s atomic bombing were Prime Minister of Japan Mr. S. Abe, Mayor of Hiroshima Mr. K. Matsui, and ambassadors of states accredited to Japan, including U.S. Ambassador Mrs. C. Kennedy.

Prime Minister of Japan in his message emphasized that «Japan, the only country in the world against which had been used nuclear weapons in the history of mankind, calls upon all countries to create «a world without nuclear weapons».
